Iltios mountain restaurant

For a stopover on the way to the summit, an ice cream break on the Klangweg or as the starting point for a hike - all paths lead to the Iltios. The Iltios plateau has been a tourist attraction in the Churfirsten area since the 1930s. It plays an important role as a hub of paths and ski slopes and is easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. The playground and the meeting point of the ski school with the Snow Kids Village is also located near the restaurant.

Hospitality in the Mountain Restaurant

Down-to-earth and traditional gastronomy with a view of the Churfirsten and the Alpstein - The Iltios mountain restaurant welcomes you with fine dessert and coupe creations, which are served on the sun terrace or in the cosy restaurant. Even if you are very hungry, the restaurant's menu impresses with a variety of salad dishes and classics such as homemade Cordon bleus. In the kitchen, the focus is on seasonal products from local producers. The Iltios is also an ideal stopover for families with its child-friendly menu.

Shop on the Iltios

Alpine cheese, Mostbröckli smoked meat and honey – in cooperation with regional partners we offer you a wide range of specialities from the Toggenburg region in our shop.
The shop also stocks publications on architecture and nature such as the flower trail book "Mikrokosmos Chäserrugg". We would be happy to help you order other articles as customer gifts or souvenirs. 

Playground

Explore the Hexenhüsli witch’s cottage or improve your balance on the slackline – the playground at the Iltios Mountain Restaurant has something for everyone. While you enjoy the sun and the view of the Churfirsten on our terrace, your children will be busy jumping on the bouncy cushion or observing the cows up close during the Alpine grazing season. This means you can switch off and relax with a coffee.
