The East Run

One of the most impressive slopes in the Alpine region is the East Run that passes through the intact landscape of a high Alpine area, through forests and over open slopes with a unique view of the Alpstein. Forget the hustle and bustle of busy slopes and the stress of crowds of skiers – take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the feeling of freedom skiing down to the valley station of the Stöfeli Lift and soak up the sun on the terrace of the Espel Pavilion. The perfect wellness programme on the Chäserrugg.

The delightful challenge

After the start on the summit, the view wanders over the Alpstein and the Rhine valley, while the mountain ridge gently slopes down towards the valley. A relaxed start for an exciting descent. To then reach piste 2 Surenboden, either choose the turn-off just below the ski lift or continue to the middle station of the Stöfeli gondola lift by Herzog & de Meuron. The Surenboden slope challenges the skier a little with its incline and at the same time rewards with a view of the Schwenidisee and the Alpstein. Finally, you pass the Espel Pavillon, also by Herzog & de Meuron, which offers a perfect place to rest with its terrace.
