Frümseltal Hike

Hike through Frümseltal with views of Lake Walen: this varied route from Alp Sellamatt via Brisizimmer to Frümseltal offers impressive rocky landscapes, tranquil alpine meadows and spectacular views of Lake Walen. A sporty tour in the heart of the Churfirsten mountains.

From Alp Sellamatt, a varied hiking trail leads you across meadows and pastures from Hinterlücheren to Brisizimmer. From there, you hike to the foot of the Brisi before following the hiking trail over hill and dale into the Frümseltal valley. During the ascent, you have an impressive view of the rock faces of the Brisi and Frümsel and the boulders in between.

At the end of the valley, after a challenging scree field crossing, a breathtaking view 1,600 metres down to Lake Walen awaits you. Afterwards, hike back along the same route to Zinggen or take a diversion via the Thurtalerstofel.
