The East Run is open
The downhill tip of the week
With the opening of the East run, one of the most beautiful runs in the Alps, the time has come again: on skis, the run takes you past striking rock faces, lets you gaze into the distance and travel with your skis through the winter mountain world.
After the start at Herzog & de Meuron's summit building, the east run begins directly at the ski lift with a first, sporty section. Already during this part, the view of the Alpstein and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking, and in the coming part, the piste becomes a little flatter, allowing you to enjoy the view even more. At the end of the descent, it becomes more sporty again and the slope demands more technique from the skier. The very sporty skier skis the descent in one go, honing his technique and stamina. The varied route is predestined for trying out different swing techniques and thus offers all-round training. The relaxed skier can take a break every now and then at the side of the piste and fully absorb the sight of the mountain nature.
Also open is the take-away at the Espel Pavillon by Herzog & de Meuron. The perfect place to fortify yourself after the east descent or before the next run.
