Night of stars at 2'262 meters above sea level
Discover the stars in the impressive night sky on the summit of the Chäserrugg. A fine dinner from the summit kitchen will fortify you to then explore the starry sky in professional company!
On the starry night on 12 July, you will be within reach of the stars at 2,262 m above sea level with ideal conditions. Enjoy the wonderful wooden architecture of the mountain station by Herzog & de Meuron and have dinner in the summit restaurant. Afterwards, you will receive an introduction to the science of the stars (only in German). Astronomers will explain the night sky to you before you take a closer look at the sky through the telescope.
The Chäserrugg and the Astronomische Vereinigung Toggenburg offer a varied programme for those interested in astronomy and for friends of the starry sky.
Warm clothing and good shoes are recommended. Children from approx. 8 years of age are also welcome.
The event takes place in all weathers. If the weather does not permit stargazing outside, an exciting programme will bring you closer to the stars indoors.
Please note that the speeches etc. will be held in German.
