Toggenburg Mountain Market on the Iltios

After the Toggenburg Mountain Market has met with so much enthusiasm in recent years, it will be held again this summer. On Sunday, 31 August 2025, Iltios will be the meeting place for all gourmets and foodies! Stroll from stall to stall and experience first-hand the wealth of delicacies Toggenburg has to offer. Cheese dairies, bakeries, butchers or distilleries present exquisite products, full of aroma and flavour, and you have the chance to meet the people behind the products.

How to get to the Iltios
In Unterwasser, at the newly built Unterwasser station, you can take the funicular railway, which is also new, and comfortably reach the Iltios. There you will find the Iltios mountain restaurant and the Toggenburg mountain market. If you would like to combine your excursion with a leisurely hike, you can take the first stage of the sound trail from Iltios to Alp Sellamatt and then take the chairlift back down to the valley. From Alt St. Johann, the Thurweg trail takes you back to Unterwasser.
