Alpine service on the Stöfeli

Experience alpine culture and be a part of it: Enjoy the sounds of the Thurtal Yodelling Club during a traditional alpine worship service at the Stöfeli mountain inn. At the same time you can gaze out over the unmistakable mountain scenery of Toggenburg.

On Sunday, 11 August 2024, the annual alpine worship service will take place at the Stöfeli mountain inn. The event begins at 11.00 a.m. and is musically accompanied by the Thurtal Yodelling Choir. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the local alpine culture. After the service, you can enjoy a lunch on the terrace of the mountain inn.

How you get to the Stöfeli

Take the shuttle bus from Unterwasser to Iltios. A short hike will take you to the valley station of the Stöfeli cable car at Espel. The modern gondola lift takes you up to Stöfeli with ease and you can enjoy the views of Toggenburg and the Alpstein.
After the service, we recommend a short hike back to Iltios, from where the funicular will take you back to Unterwasser.
